Dr. Anuj Dua, Owner, and Dr. Michael Shotwell, both specialize in Incisionless Surgery.
We offer 4 convenient locations and are affiliated with Northside Cherokee Hospital, Piedmont Mountainside and Kennestone Wellstar.

General Surgery

includes a wide range of procedures usually performed in the hospital. Many procedures can be performed without the need for an overnight stay in the hospital. Some of the more common procedures are:

Appendectomies for appendicitis.

Breast Biopsies for breast lumps.

Sentinel Node Biopsy for breast cancer and melanoma.

Breast Surgery for cancer including breast conserving Lumpectomies andMastectomies.

Colon Surgery (large intestine) for cancer, infection, and diverticulitis.

Gall Bladder Surgery for gallstones. Hernia Repair.

Hiatal Hernia Repair for pain and inflammation of the esophagus (Gastro-Esophageal Reflux Disease).

Liver and Pancreatic Surgery. Stomach Surgery for ulcers and tumors. Thyroid Surgery for lumps and cancer.

Minimally Invasive Laparoscopic Surgery is done for many problems including gallstones, appendicitis, inguinal and abdominal hernias, hiatal and paraesophageal hernias, colon problems, and abdominal pain.

Peripheral Vascular Surgery ranges from office procedures to treat varicose veins in the leg to the more complicated surgery performed in a hospital setting. Some of the more common procedures are:

Aneurysm Surgery to prevent a weakened enlarged artery from rupture andbleeding.

Bypass Surgery to unblock arteries in the legs to relieve pain when walking and improve circulation to prevent gangrene.

Carotid Artery Surgery to prevent strokes. Vein Stripping to remove varicose veins.

Vein Injection to treat spider and smaller varicose veins without surgery.
